How it works

1

Add itemized lines for exactly what's included — fixed prices, unit prices or both.

2

Set terms & validity

The template defaults to 30-day validity with an acceptance-by-email clause; adjust to taste.

3

Download & send

One click to PDF. When the client accepts, the quote becomes your contract baseline — and our invoice templates handle the billing.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is a fixed, committed price for a defined scope — once accepted, you're expected to honor it. An estimate is an informed approximation that can move as conditions change. Use quotes when the scope is nailed down, estimates when there are unknowns (that's why remodelers estimate and product businesses quote).
Is a quote legally binding?
Once the customer accepts it — generally yes, it forms a contract at those prices for that scope. That's why every quote needs a validity window, precise scope lines and stated exclusions. Before acceptance, you can withdraw or revise it.
How long should a quote be valid?
30 days is the convention (this template's default). Shorten it to 7–14 days when material prices or availability are volatile; state the window explicitly either way.
What's the difference between a quote and a quotation?
Nothing — “quotation” is simply the formal word, more common in the UK, Australia and formal procurement. The document is identical, and this generator's PDF works for both.
Is this quote generator free?
Yes — unlimited quotes and PDF downloads, no sign-up, and your pricing data never leaves your browser.
